About Us

The Morgan Public Library is committed to offering a friendly and welcoming library to enrich our community.  We strive to stay up to date with our ever-growing community and continually growing our collection.

We offer 15,000 books, 1,800 DVDs and Blu-rays, 300 audio books, 4 computers, Wi-Fi, and so much more.  We offer items for patrons of all ages.  The library provides faxing, scanning, and printing services for patrons.

The Morgan Public Library is a member of the Plum Creek Library system.  We are one of 26 libraries in Plum Creek.  Being a part of the Plum Creek Library system allows us to be able to have access to more materials for our patrons.

The Morgan Public Library opened in 1939.  The building was a gift to the City of Morgan from C.O. Gilfillan in honor of his father C.D. Gilfillan.  The original building housed a library, museum, community room, and had bandstand.  The current library is still located in the same spot, but has had an addition added to the building.  The building still houses the library, museum, and community room.  The bandstand is still on the building, but unfortunately is no longer usable.
